Rooster or hen

Unfortunately I can't answer that question. I have never used a no crow collar. I do know there are many threads that have been started on that particular subject if you want to search for them. There are strong opinions for and against, so you will have to decide what is best for you.

What are the cons it doesn’t look painful. I just am sooo attached to this bird. Are you certain it’s a rooster no chance for hen?

He is definitely a cockerel.

As for the collars, there have been deaths attributed to their use. Some think they are cruel while others consider them a wonderful tool. I'm indifferent - your birds, your decision.

I will say while he's cute and personable now that very well may change once the hormones hit. Some of the cutest, cuddliest young cockerels can turn into aggressive monsters at 4 months of age.
