My BO is HUGE!

She's younger, and she still looks bigger than your Sunshine

My fiancée calls her sausage fingers. I say it's not nice, but she won't stop making fun of her lol.

I think it's a girl. I would say in behaviour alone you should be able to tell if she is a rooster or hen by 6 months old.

She looks like her sister, feathers are the same, but she is huge and her comb and wattle are (always have been) bigger and redder too.

She looks like her sister, feathers are the same, but she is huge and her comb and wattle are (always have been) bigger and redder too.

Same colour? The BO males are brighter than the females.

This is my BO girl.. She's the exact same age as Sunshine.. Maybe she is just maturing faster?... Wish there was someone with a for sure answer for you.. I'd say just wait until you hear a crow or get an egg from her. Have you had roosters before? My boys are so apparent.. Even my 4 month old cockerel.

We haven't kept roosters before because my wife doesn't like the idea. We both really love Sunshine though, so if it is a rooster and doesn't develop overly aggressive behavior he will probably stay.

I just don't like not knowing, and even worse...confusion!

Pip and Sunshine have the same feather colors in most places on their bodies.

Pip looks more girly, but I'm still not convinced either way that Sunshine is a roo... Though those saddle feathers are worrisome.

Do you have time to figure out who is laying the eggs?
