I bought 7 chicks (5 of which are Silver-Laced Wyandotte's) that were all supposed to be pullets, but now at 3 months old, one of my Silver-Laced Wyandotte's looks a little like a rooster. Unlike the 4 other Wyandotte's, this chicken has what looks like a rose comb (the others have single combs), and is bigger and more aggressive than the other hens. I attached a picture of this chicken by itself and with the other hens
. I was pretty sure that this chicken was indeed a rooster until I looked online and saw some pictures of hens with rose combs like this one. I also heard that rose combs are very common in Silver-Laced Wyandotte's, though I don't understand why only one has a rose comb while the others all have single combs. So, now I'm just really confused about what gender this chicken is. I wouldn't care except that we can't have roosters where we live. Any ideas?? Thanks!!
