Rooster overeating hens

what do you do with a rooster that overmates the hens, and when you put him with the roosters he overmates them too? I don’t know what to do with him. All he wants to do is make babies.

I have four hens together in one pen and six roosters in the other pen.

Why so many roosters ?
Maybe pick a different rooster to have in with the hens or get more hens for your rooster that ‘overmates’ ?

The run is 200 square feet split down the middle. So roosters have 100 square feet

Why? Because I love them and can’t part with them.

May have to give in find a new home or increase how many coops you have to house all these birds and not kill your hens

If he overmates... he doesn't get access to the hens.

Some males never learn how to be nice.

He sounds like a winner to me.... *shrug*

But in any case, if he's overdoing it to the point where he's injuring a lot of hens...... probably best to separate that horndog and keep him by himself.

I would hate to do that but i might have to since it’s not fair to the other hens and roosters. He’s one of my favorite roosters so getting rid of him isn’t an option. I wonder if rooster can be neutered?
