Rooster red butt and legs

I have a 6 month old rooster that I have noticed in the last week a red patch and feather loss around his butt. I do not see any mites or viable bugs on the skin. Also, not sure if this is a rooster thing but the side of his legs are slightly red. Can somebody please tell me if this is normal for a rooster and if it’s not is there any suggestions on what to do. I have been giving my chickens, a small amount of tomatoes and squash lately as a treat, they consume regular chicken layer, pellet diet.

I am guessing he is very active with the hens. The red legs look normal to me.

Did you figure this out? I have a hen with something similar.. red, slightly swollen skin on the butt and a loss of feathers. She now is lethargic and losing weight. I've tried oregano internally. I've tried topical skin creams as well. I don't know what else to try.

I took him to the vet and they cultured it. They found they he had a yeast infection. They gave me some medication and told me to keep him separate from the other birds until he heals. It seems to be getting better but it been slow
