Rooster with red around his vent and neck

Hello,
I noticed this morning that my rooster was very red around his vent and neck. He has been red/pink for a while, but never this red. We checked many times for mites and nothing. He has 13 hens with him, none of them have this red on them. They have a nice run/coop area, and only get free range time once a week. They always have clean water and feed. his poop looks normal and he is acting normal.
Do you have any ideas of what could be going on?

I hope someone more knowledgeable than me will answer, but my gut is that the redness is indicative of high/rising testosterone levels. Increased day light period affects hormone level in roosters as well as in hens.

He also looks like someone is picking out his feathers on the neck and vent area.

Yes, I noticed that his hens pick at his neck.

Just looks like normal skin to me, it could be irritated somehow like if he or other hens are pecking the areas or if it's itchy.
