Thank you i sure hope he makes it. He is acting like he is feeling better right now enjoying his treat block. I have some plain Greek yogurt I can give him after his treatment. I have no idea they like peanut butter and honey. Ill have to try that one!!!Great news that you've got a diagnosis, and proper treatment is under way.
Since he has lost a lit of weight, you can feed him high calorie foods to build him back up. Mine really like mashed potato and beans with olive oil mixed in. Peanut butter and honey sandwiches are good too, soaked in a little milk! (obviously not a staple feed!)
Scrambled egg with live yoghurt mixed in is excellent for after a course of antibiotics (helps to put his gut flora right again).
He actually is crowing as i type this. He is cackling at his hens too! I think he will be ok too! Thank you! Oh he loved the bread and peanut butter with honey!I'm rooting for him too! He is having the best care possible.
Peanut butter spread on bread is high calorie and the honey also has antiseptic properties. The milk just helps to wet it, make it easier to eat and a bit of hydration. If he is hungry for his treat block that is a great sign.
I have a good feeling he is going to be OK!
