Rooster sick and deteriorating rapidly

Johnny ate and drank on his own :ya
He was even by the front porch when it was time for bed but I led him to the coop instead of him leading and squawking at me too hurry up
I am still going to treat him with charcoal tonight just in case it is poison
as recommended I took the coop off fermented feed and the guineas are not happy campers

short video of johnny today
Probably easier to find a needle in a haystack but seeing I have a microscope I did make up some slides to check for worms etc. spent a hour looking only thing I could find that didn't look like poo looked like bacteria I could see them moving but not enough magnification to identify them
Can you take a sample to the vet?

I'm happy to see that he is doing better :) I also have a rooster named Johnny and I love him dearly, even though he runs to attack me sometimes when I am too close to his flock and mistakes me as a predator!! Their faces kind of look alike too !!! I hope for his speedy recovery :) this is my roo!

Is it possible that you saw cecal worms, tapeworms, or tiny roundworms? All of those can live outside the body for several minutes.
doubtful I was viewing around 1900x when I saw them they would have too be 1/20 the size of algae or even smaller plus was over a hour after I took the photo that I posted on here that I pulled out the microscope ( was the 1st time in 6 years I even had a reason to pull it out of the box)

I will try Unfortunately my truck broke down last night
Its just the cable to the transmission so shouldn't be that hard
otherwise can see if anyplace close can do it on Saturday

I wish I still had a microscope. Had one of those handed down from my brother as kids. I used to have a lot of tropical fish and I'd dissect them when they died.

Insecticides and herbicides are scary products. They're dangerous for everyone. Insects are eaten by mice and other small creatures, which are eaten by hawks and owls.

So it's possible he was poisoned. You also mentioned fermented feed. I was never able to create even one batch without discovering small amounts of mold, but I've read FF is very beneficial. The key is doing it safely.

The activated charcoal is a good treatment protocol to follow.

You mentioned giving him a cup of water through a syringe. That's an awful lot of water. Did I read that correctly?

Your boy is adorable. Maybe the insecticide depressed him for a few days and with your help he's slowly recovering.
