rooster spurs removal

a while back heard something about potatoes being put on spurs to remove them, anyone know about this?

Yes, It was me. If you use the search function above, type in rooster spurs, or removal, or potato, and it should show the previous thread and how to.

You heat the potato, apply to spur, and then use pliers to twist the spur off. It is pretty easy, and only a little blood loss. Keep cornstarch or flour handy in case there is a bit more bleeding.
