Rooster trying to breed?

My rooster just started crowing just hit the forth month I can’t tell if he is trying to mate because he chase a hen peck there neck then the hen runs away and its always the same One and the another hen chased her after it.

nobody is laying yet. This the hen she is very scared right now.

Yeah he’s trying, i went through the same with my guy, the first few month he looked like he was hurting them cause he would just grab them and they would run, it caused them to lose a lot of feathers. He also would bite our fingers when we bent down. We really thought he needed culled. After a few months though he calmed down and is now an amazing rooster who takes care of his ladies and they will WILLINGLY mate. He also loves to cuddle and never bites. Just give your guy a few months, he’s still working out how to be a good roo.
