Rooster with 8 weekers?

If I got an adult roo, would it be bad to put it in with the 8 week pullets and ducks?

That depends on the roo, I think. Some roosters are sweet as pie and others can't even be trusted by themselves. Sometimes an adult rooster will try to mate pullets before they are ready, and hurt them. I would wait until your ladies are laying and then find them a handsome gentleman. But that's just my 2¢- good luck!
