This roosters comb is brown and slimy/muddy looking with open sores. Some skin is missing feathers and its red and leathery looking. His feet are swollen. Anyone know what it is? This isn't wet pox is it?

I would take a damp cloth and wash the comb off. Looks like caked on dirt to me. Could be the tissue of the comb festered underneath the dirt. If it's raw, then apply a little triple antibiotic ointment after all the dirt is washed off.

Were you in that deep freeze that hit Texas recently? If so, he may have frostbite on feet and comb. Comb tissue blisters when frozen and will ooze and it can take weeks to heal. Feet may become necrotic and tips may become dead and eventually fall off.

Yes i was in that deep freeze. Some of my roosters had frostbite but they had looked like they'd recovered, one even had part of his comb fall off and then grow back already. This sick rooster can not stand at all. When I picked him up he didn't have much energy and when I put him in the chicken hospital he didn't even attempt to not fall to the ground.

No. Don't rub any tissue you believe to have been frozen. It's painful and can make it worse!
The best thing to do about frostbite is to spray Vetericyn on the lesions to keep infection at bay.
Keep from refreezing. Your rooster may have had more recent freezing. Have the temps been that cold in the past week or so?

If it looks necrotic to you, then provide us more photos.
If that is from frostbite, then you don't want to mess with it. If it's mud/dirt then you want to clean it up.

The coldest it's been in the last 2 weeks was about 45 at night. For some reason it's hard to get it to show up in pictures you can see what it actually looks like a bit better from this one.
Looks like a lot of scabbing. Has he been fighting?

He probably has been fighting. But would that explain the feet being swollen as well?
