Hello!

It looks like my rooster’s comb is starting to turn purple and his eye looks like it’s changing colors also. He was given to me a week ago in hopes that I could help with his curled toes. He’s acts normal as far as I’ve noticed. Any advice? Please help!

Welcome To BYC

What are you planning on doing with the toes? He's too old to correct crooked toes.

I'd feed him either chick starter or an all flock feed, see that he's eating/drinking well.

It's not that uncommon for a large combed rooster to have tinges of purple at times. Heat, stress, hormones or even a reduction in oxygen can all be causes of the tips turning purple.

As for the eye, hard to know what's going on there. Eye color can change a little as they mature. Time will tell how this changes and whether or not it's a concern for disease.

You are quarantining him away from your existing flock and practicing biosecurity between seeing to him and any other birds that you have, correct?
