The hens are more likely to pick on the new birds than the rooster. The rooster will likely welcome them happily... while the hens will see them as "intruders" so they will work to establish their dominance in the flock.In what way?
It's nothing to be overly concerned about, just something chickens do. But because they are smaller, you may have to keep an eye to make sure no one gets hurt.
But considering the pullets far outnumber the older hens, it shouldn't be too bad.
