Roosters breaking each other's legs?

i don't know what breeds are typically used. wish i did. it is really sad regardless. gee. it would freak me out for sure.

That is really sad and bizzare! Why did they e-mail you? Poor roos. I hope it wasn't human. If it was a dominate roo, they may want to get rid of it. I just can't imagine, but I only have one roo.

2mnypets, I just e-mailed you about saddle guards.
Do you have any or just the diapers? Very cute!

Thanks,
Kim

Wow, must be bizzare to get an e-mail like that from a stranger.

I would like to purchase your product. I went on your site, but don't know how to choose the design of the diaper. I would like to order a saddle guard also. I'm assuming that I will need med size for an EE. I have a paypal acct.

Thanks,
Kim

Maybe this is silly, but did she say what breed they were... could they be meat birds? Sometimes their legs will break just from their own weight.

I will send you a PM Smitty. Windyridge, I asked what breed they were, but I have not gotten a return email stating what they were. It is bizarre to get emails from people, however, I guess if people are going to take the time to ask a question regarding chickens, then I have the time to educate with an answer.

Something is very wrong here.

I've never heard of a rooster breaking another roosters leg, and definately not both legs.
I can't see how they could get leverage enough to break a leg.

I smell a rat, and it walks on two legs.

Thanks! My EE girl will appreciate it!

That's great that you are nice enough to take the time to educate people about chickens. Keep us posted about the poor roos. It does sound fishy.

If they were meat birds that were coming of age, they could have broken their own legs if they were eating a lot. Otherwise, if it just happened all of a sudden, I would be more likely to suspect a demented human. The dominant roo may have been spared simply because they couldn't catch him.
