Hi,
My rooster comb is bleeding this morning, so I decided to isolate him in the coop. I will put flour to stop the bleeding, but have to wait tonight cause he won't let me close to him ( usual behavior) in your post you said that you learned your lesson and will protect the comb from now on... how ? and should I do that for the hens as well ( got 21 of them... )
my rooster worry me though, yes maybe it's frost bite, but he hasn't feeling well for the past 2 days, thought he had problem going to bathroom... read on internet that oastmeal and garlic help. So everybody had oatmeal-garlic meal and garlic water ( since the hens didn't really seems to let him eat... ) he was not secure on his legs.. poor thing ... I feel so bad. and I am 200 km from town, so going and buy stuff for him is almost impossible, as well as asking the vet to look at him. So tonight I'm gonna try with the flour, and since he is isolated I'm just hoping for the best. ( now I'm worry about eating the eggs and / or eat the one for meat... ) any advice ? thanks !
