Roosters gone crazy? what just happened?

I was watching my roosters a few minutes ago and one rooster started to mate an overturned bowl. while he was doing this, the other rooster tried to mount him. He wasn't successful, instead he ended up pushing the other rooster off the bowl.

INFORMATION:
I am currently in the process of rehoming them since I don't have enough hens and because of crowing.

rooster 1 (the one mating the bowl) tried to mount my foot this morning. I don't think he has started mating hens yet.
rooster 2 (the one who tried to mount rooster 1) is the top rooster and has a "girlfriend".
they are both around 6-7 months old

The things those roosters put us through . Oh my ! no wonder they have such a tendency toward getting themselves in the crock pot situation . Good luck rehoming .

Welcome to my world. Just hormones... keep being kind and forgive them their weirdness. They will grow out of it but if you stay kind your chances of having good roos who get good homes increases.

I definitely had a good laugh and a bit of a shock. I love them but I unfortunately can't keep them anymore

They ARE funny and so handsome too .
Well, if you do this long enough you will get your chance to keep a roo I am sure. Finding them good homes is an act of love and if you get lucky new parents will send you photos ♡♡♡ that's the best!

Today, Pickles (rooster 1) started trying to mate the bowl again, but it was the right way up so it was hard for him to keep his balance and he ended up falling. Then he started dancing to my sister and myself.

I think he's just lonely, his younger brother has the top roo position and has the top hen as his girlfriend, and poor Pickles is a lonely little man

Yesterday he mated a twig. Yes, a tiny TWIG!!!
