I feel quite taken advantage of. I have called her once to tell her that the first two of the four we got were roosters and then called again to let her know that last ones were also. She offered me sell me two confirmed hens for her discounted rate of another $25/hen. She will not be getting my business.

How did you find this "breeder"? Any way to provide negative feedback?

I would call again and remind her that you have already paid for pullets, and you received not a single one from her. An oops cockerel at 14 weeks can happen I suppose (not often I will say), but 4/4 oops males? She needs to take them back and refund all your money. I would also try drumstick diva's approach and mention many BYC members are watching to see if the breeder makes things right.

The light one doesn't look like any olive egger I've seen and I see yellow skin on the "Ameraucana" so he's a cull at best. I'd love to see a few pictures from when you first got them because I bet they already looked like cockerels to an experienced eye back then.

No, I don't think you dealt with a breeder at all. That's some very shady business.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to provide negative feedback. I did call and offer her the roosters mostly because I wanted her to see that I wasn't pulling her leg. She declined. It looks like I will have to chalk it up as a loss and learning experience. Now knowing that she sold me all Roos makes so many things make sense. There was never harmony amongst the chickens and I just thought they were taking a long time to get settled. I had one hen amongst 4 growing roosters. Poor gal!

Agree with @junebuggena the seller knew they were cockerels by 3 mths old. So sorry

This is what three of the four looked like when we first got them. Are you able to tell they are roosters, if so, how? I'm still learning. When they got older I could definitely tell but held on to them hoping I was wrong.

Combs. Pullets don't start to turn red in the comb till they are about a month away from laying.
