roosters?

hi all,
Just joined this site, but I've been googling your answers for the last 2 months, thanks!

this is my first attempt at raising chickens, we got chicks in April, they are now about 12 weeks old.
4 of our chicks were supposed to be black sex link pullets, but the black one

pictured here is bigger with a larger comb and wattles and has some more white around the neck...and crowed a bit the other day, just once...seems like a rooster, but I didn't think that could happen with this breed with color linked to sex, could this be? Thanks!

also, this lady is not looking so lady like these days, much bigger than the others, also bigger comb/wattles...not sure the breed, I think she was supposed to be an auricana...rooster too? they all seem to get on pretty well, so far...

The second one is a rooster... the black one I can barely see, but if it’s a true black sex link it would be barred. Does it have pointy hackle and saddle feathers? If so it’s a male... but not black sex link.

Think I see some pointy hackle feathering on the "black" one, need a pic without the wire. The second is for sure a Roo, handsome guy.

ok thanks a lot! very helpful. sorry pics are terrible. I'll get a better pic without the wire...yes the hackle feathers are pointy... so maybe I have 2 roosters...they get along OK so far but still young...2 roosters & 14 hens, maybe that's OK? the coop and runs are big and we've started letting them free range...

As long as they have about 7 or 8 hens to themselves and enough room, they should be ok... however it’s too soon to tell. Wait until they reach full sexual maturity; then their true rooster colors should come out (figuratively speaking this time). Don’t let them bully you and never back down from a challenge or you could be prone to attack. I thought I had a sweet Bantam rooster but then when he hit about a year old he started attacking my husband and I. Just be watchful.
