I am not a 100% sure that my rhode island red is a hen since they are only about 2 months old. BUT if she happens to be a rooster, we have a bantam rooster too in the same coop. Could the two roosters co-exist?

Hi and welcome to the flock!

How large is your pen? How many birds total do you have? These two factors will have an impact on the likelyhood of success - but even more important (and entirely out of your control) will be the actual personalities of each bird as they mature.

Unless you have a lot of space and a very gentle rooster (which is unlikely with a Rhode Island Red) your bantam rooster will likely take a beating.

The coop is 10X8 and we are working on a small enclosed run. But we are planning on having them free range once they get used to the coop and then the enclosure. We have 5 altogether. Bran (potential rooster) and Butters (known bantam rooster) 'fight' but it's not really bad. They kinda just stare each other down and jump at each other in a not very violent way. Can that get worse or is that pretty much the worse that it'll get? I'm just scared that I'm going to find a dead chicken in the morning or when I come home from work. Bran isn't really violent. She doesn't really like to be held (I'm trying to change that) but she hasn't attacked me or my girlfriend and we spend quite a bit of time in the coop.
