I am new to broilers and chicken trucks...
my problem is that some of them are getting very dirty on their tummy area from sitting on the floor of the truck (we still have paper down for them). should we put a dowl across the pen for them to roost to get off the floor or ????

The broilers don't need a roost. If they try to use it, they may end up breaking their legs because of the weight. When I had my broilers I just used the shavings, and no paper (can't get any traction), they will end up with a dirty tummy and chest area, you just have to clean alot more often than you would with layers.
