Rose of sharons

OH MAN, I would love to have some rose of sharron bushes!!! I keep looking in the flower catalogs but the last place we ordered from, (I didnt order any rose of sharron), most of what I ordered didnt make it. My father in law ordered honeysuckles and they did pretty good but my stuff wasnt so lucky. Not to mention I bought some tiny pine starts and my horse at them all...

We put wire rings around them and thought he wouldnt notice and leave them alone but NOOOOOO he ate each little tree and left the grass untouched.... If anyone has little sucker shoots that they would be willing to dig for me I would certainly pay the shipping and for your time. I also have button quail eggs or mixed chicken eggs to trade. I have a few black walnut seedlings growing pretty good too. I am getting sucker starters from 2 of my bushes that I am sure are a old fashion white lilacs that the flowers were not to big but boy did they smell good!!!!! I am planning on digging the little starts of these and moving them but if anyone wants we can trade some of these too. Jenn

The japanese beetles love my rose of sharon too, and my pussy willow. I take a cup of soapy water out, and push them off into the water, and let them sit in it till they die, then pour them out in the weeds.

The problem is with a sucker if I dug it up would it even be okay this late in the year?I would love lilacs but I wouldn't want to send you something that i wasn;t sure would live. Or at least have a fighting chance. I got mine for free froma lady that let us come and dig them up this summer.

Here are some pics of my Rose of Sharon bushes,

LOL, Well they are on their way to you, although the ones I sent aren't quite that big yet, I got these about three years ago and they bloomed the same year, hope they reach you quickly and in good condition. This was my first time shipping live plants so let me know how they faired when you get them. Believe it or not, there should be 55 ROS's and I think 4 Redbud trees, in that box, lol.

Remind me in the fall and I will ship some out to you, when they go into hibernation, or are done blooming. My Mom's Rose of Sharon pop up EVERYWHERE! So I can snag some of her suckers. Don't waste the money buying them!

Oh forgot to mention the best time to ship is when they are dormant... that's how the nurseries do it... I suppose I could dig some up and chill them... that might work. I've gotten some shipments from directgardening.com and they seem to only ship dormant plants, and not when it's hot. I could try though!

i want rose of sharons, preferable with reds cause my hummingbirds are going great here!! i want to give them more to choose from!
i dont have any idea of what to trade... i have tiny pine trees i could swap. (i live in pine barrens) i have lots of mini oaks. i have lots of lily of valley and pachysandra.

any one want to trade? i will look and see what else i have.
