beautiful, and i think my favorite kind of chicken, or at least the kind i fell in love with chickens for, all over again. sadly having to downsize my flock of other larger game birds, and now wondering what anyone in my area might have as far as eggs to adult hens.. ??? would anyone say or noticed that their rosecombs beared confinement well and were very quiet and contented? i only have one cock and one of his babies that came out with comb and lobes. only seen two actual rosecomb in my area, a pair at the livestock auction.

Yep, they are from Rick.

Josh got them for me from him at Sussex. They are just beginning to lay! I can't wait to show them this fall. Might show them at the fair this year, but I'm afraid a week show will do them in and ruin their condition.

*drooling* almost considering trading or selling off most of my collection and just working with the rosecombs, as no luck since cold wet snap wiped out almost all of my dutch.

I have hatched a couple more of the so-called "Paints'' in Rosecomb of course...They have dominant white from Red Pyle. Just fun to look at.
