It is very hard to buy rosecomb eggs.... You might find some young birds like i have for sale. I don't sell eggs, and I really don't know anyone who does. Unless they are not show quality. Best to buy adults, and raise your own.

thanks for posting this!!! my cochin rooster has that. i baught him at a show from some breeders and i didnt notice his eye. i posted pictures on another forum and they told me to put him down before he infected my other birds! i looked up wat they thought it was and he didnt have any other systems and my vet thought it was just a eye infection and gave me drops but it never went away

Is the Rosecomb Federation a good Club to be in? I have been in a couple different clubs and one club I havent gotten anything except a membership card since I joined but in another I get an Awesome quarterly newsletter.

I have spoke with several of teh club memebers and officers and found them all to be a real joy to talk to and discuss the birds, they were much more open about thier breeding practices and other things than other similar organizations.
They do have a very inovative Jr. points system as well unlike many others they are rewarding the Junior Poultry showman quite well.
I would strongly suggest joining the federation if you plan to raise and show Rosecombs.

I think everyone gets one like that on occasion. I notice it more when too much dust builds in a pen. I will admit although I typically clean my indoor pens on sundays I do miss it sometimes and feed dust and pine shaving dust from scrathing around will get to them.

Took a few more photos of my birds today. They all could have used a bath but I am putting pictures with my breeding records just so I have a quick visual reference of each bird.

Here is one of the first pullets. She injured her comb as a chick (before i realized my feeders were horrible for their leaders)

Here is an August hatch pullet I want to show this spring once she finishes out

Very Nice.. I am impressed.. I would like to see more colors in these birds.. I find it odd with 26 recognized varieties that only about 5 or 6 can be found.. That needs to be fixed...
