Rosecomb Thread

Either way the birds will be stunning!! I am going to move out almost all of my oe's, and mainly just keep and work with my rosecombs. I might as well get them breeding and see what I can do.
I will keep all my old birds. They have earned a place here, they can just run around in the barn, and be chickens.

I can understand that quite well, I have thinned my OE considerably as there are several I do not need and the boy's did not want to show anymore or I did not want to show anymore either. I am cutting back to Columbian, Birchen, Brown Red, and Opal in OE which will all be duplicated in Rosecomb, I will also be continueing efforts of others in BB Red and Wheaton / blue wheaton rosecombs. along with the Blue Black and Splash.

So I'm doing a 4h project and I need to list all rosecomb colors accepted and commen project colors. I know a few but not positive if their accepted yet or not. Thanks

Well the birchen project is progressing nicely.. seeing the first silver hackle feathers in young pullets... so far so good, now to see how they develop. Step one down and many many many more to go.
