Since the albendazole is the same ingredient in Valbazen, should I choose something different? Is it necessary to rotate dewormers? I guess that is my main concern/question of this thread...can I stick with what I have been using or should I use something with a different type of medication/active ingredient?

There's a few different Trifen wormers. Trifen Plus is Fenbendazole and Trifen Avicola is Albendazole.

Just change wormers each year. Like I mentioned, I worm twice a year and haven't had any problems. Sometimes I use Valbazen, sometimes I use praziquantel, or levimisole. I noticed chickens had tapes a few years ago in some droppings one morning. Valbazen took care of it.

I'm not trying to challenge your statement, but I have found several websites stating that Trifen Plus is Albendazole 30 mg, and Abamectine 0.2 mixed together.

Edit: Also I have found a website that lists fenbendazole in it instead of the Albendazole....how confusing!

I don't know where you get that info. Like I stated, I have Trifen Avicola which contains 70 mg of Albendazole in each tablet.

That PDF shows it contains 70 mg albendazole like I stated. Anyway, Becca has the directions set for Albendazole treatment with what she has. Dawg took care of it.
