no they shouldnt the ducks should eat the flies and love it but you need to do something about the floor I guess hose it out or something once its clean the flies should clearAny ideas on fly control?
My Rouens have a grass floor to the coop and they have been pooping so much the floor is mostly poo now and the flies are lovin it. Are the flies bothering my ducks? Do I need to take action?
Thanks! Yes they are, I'm getting excited! lol...yeah, I can see why you say that.... Way to take one for the team and chase your drake down...
. 15 weeks, huh...I must be 4 weeks behind your drake then.
I guess you did say yours were 11 weeks at the start of the thread....Lol they do get kinda scraggly again. Lol ya he wasn't happy with me at all. As if I care lol. *tisk tisk* at you for not knowing their birthday!
I'm getting into that myself on some animals I can't move all over all the time. I heard someone mention that they love sand in their run, but I haven't tried that. I personally think a clean run is a must for good health and feet. I've been putting down hay, then doing a deep litter-removing everything combo. Then using that poop soiled hay to fertilize my yard, landscaping and garden. ??? I think it also depends on how much money ya want to spend. Man ducks do poo a ton!!! Hopefully people will chime in on this!Any ideas on fly control?
