We have the same situation. 8 hens and 5 with bare backs and one with her whole backside and elbows bare. We watched and its funny the ones that are bare are the Easter Eggers and the ones that are not don't let the rooster mount. I have two banties and a Barred Rock that wouldn't let the Rooster mount "period". The Easter Eggers on the other hand were each getting "lovin" several times each through out the day. We penned up the rooster this weekend and he is getting new home. We already got a new banty rooster and we think the problem is solved. Now just waiting for the feathers to grow back.
