...at first glance, this sounds great! However, I was cleaning out our run and coop - done once a week - and found a few roundworms on the ground in the run. They were not in any poop; they were laying on the ground somewhat alive. I could not find any worms in any other poop. I observed the hens (we have 6...so it was easy) and watched for bowel movements but no worms came out of any of them.
I was trying to figure out which hen it was but with no luck. They are all acting normal. We have had a lot of rain the past 2 weeks so it gets icky fast. Will worms be present in poop every time if not treated?
I plan on heading over to tractor supply co tomorrow morning and finding some Safeguard to treat the flock with.
