Rowan won't roost.

So this is Rowan, my five month old game chick. She was raised with ducklings and when she was in the run with them, her favorite thing to do was roost. Now that she's in with the other chickens, she absolutely refuses to get on the roost! Instead, she sleeps on the ground in front of the roost or in the nesting box. Should I be worried?

If she joined an established flock, the bossy hens may be giving her a hard time about roosting with them. It is not unusual for a new hen to have trouble roosting with the others. Maybe you can add another roost bar.

The new roost pole is in place and she already loves it! Jumped in the coop first thing after I was done and hopped right on!
