Run & Coop along (a sequel to my other thread)

Hi, this thread is in response to my other thread, so, my run stinks. literally.

i will be posting the progress of my run and coop, however i may not be able to post every day because i have school. even on the weekends i have school.

so i will post my progress in a second, in the meantime you can read my other thread, or just wait for this one to update

Day 1:

ok, so i already started a few days ago, but i couldn't find help so it's taking a long time to get much done. i have thought of volunteering to rake leaves, because we live 30 mins away from a very tree-filled town, so i will attempt that when i have time. so far, i have about 35% of the run's floor done, (btw i decided to scratch that turn the whole thing into a coop plan) and so, i have come up with getting a tarp, and strapping it onto poles, and just replacing it every time it falls down. i have made a little platform in the corner because i had wood for that, and that's it. i will keep posting tomorrow

if you have suggestions for an easy coop, that'd be great. i'm thinking about a chicken tractor. (i think a chicken tractor is just a big walk-in coop, right?)

No, a chicken tractor is a lightweight, mobile coop.

The easiest coop to make is a cattle-panel hoop coop. These require a minimum of lumber, minimal tools, and minimal building skills.

Hoop coops can also be made with PVC pipe frames, but they are not as sturdy against snow load or predator attack as the cattle-panel sort.

sorry... i never got that ;-; i will do it tomorrow when it's light out, and btw, sorry for the incorrect measurements, but the run is about 20 by 25 or so feet, and i have a bit of it covered in yard waste by now.. i am drowning in schoolwork so it's very, very hard for me to get anything done. i am almost out of my "hole" in schoolwork, so i will try my best to get pics. i am slightly ashamed of my run now.

Very hard to get an impression of what you’ve done without pictures. I’m sorry you’re feeling shame but it shows that you do care about the standards for your birds. Although I said it would be better to make things better for your chickens before getting buttons, maybe a smaller indoor animal would be easier for you to cope with if you have to build and maintain this outdoor space that is going to be attacked by the elements and predators. I don’t want to confuse anything as you’re getting suggestions from all directions, but I’m wondering if it is easier for you to rehome the chickens and have a much smaller setup its easier to have control over. The smaller you go the more frequent cleaning required, though. I skip out my buttons 4 times a day. But maybe I’m just OCD

i cleaned their coop up last night and they pooped on the top again. it wasn't always like that. here's pictures of their run. i tried moving the coop, but that thing is heavier than it looks. i think i will try building a hoop tractor.

they scratched up all of the grass so it doesn't look like anything happened. i moved a the coop base over to the corner so that's what you see, and i tried to move the coop but it's super heavy. even for someone my age. i will wait for my dad to get here and my brother to get home and then i will move it up onto the base. i also dug a few holes that they seemed to enjoy searching through
