Girvan didn't take his eyes off of Duke, hoping to see another sign...
"He moved. His claws moved. He still has some fight left!" he whispered in excitement.

"Atra?" Jade asked, keeping her green eyes low as to not appear like a challenge. "I've got someone who wants to join."Kodiak rose to his paws and stalked out of his den, carrying an intimidating air Witt him over his shoulders. The massive blue-gray and white he-wolf scanned the densite through narrowed, piercing ice blue eyes. The dark gray and white form of his mate, Atra, followed him out. He drew his tongue over her ear, and began making the rounds around the densite to make sure that no one was being lazy or fighting, while Atra climbed to the top of the alpha's rock.
Echo nodded and tucked her tail between her legs in submission.
Girvan took a step forward at the little movement, hope shining in his eyes, "Senka..." he breathed, "Look."
Charlotte had been lost in thought and sorrow, and didnt see Duke's movement. She looked at Girvan at his words, and then at Duke. "What is it?" She asked Girvan quietly.

"Don't get your hopes up," Senkah added, her tone as blunt as a stone. Her face was shadowed by the angle she was observing Duke from. She'd seen countless wolves get gravely wounded, and just when they seemed to bounce back, they died.
Just like mother...
Girvan nodded. What she said was imperative...but he couldn't help but hope. "Senka...do you need anything else?"

Garron nuzzled Piper as he shared the fish with her.
Pitch sat outside the den. He was close enough to hear if they needed anything else, but far enough to be out of everyone's way. He looked towards the border, thinking of the scent of the other wolf.Charlotte went and sat close to Duke. "There's still so much blood." She whispered to Senkah.
Duke heard her voice, as if she were a long ways away and her voice was echoing through a long tunnel. He tried to move, to respond to her, but he was so weak. His body still felt like someone had set fire to it. He whined faintly.
