stuborndancer - Where are you thinking of getting a Runner from (your first post makes it sound like you only want one)? I live out in the sticks, and whenever I want new ducks, I end up having to order 15 (or paying a ridiculous "small order" shipping fee).

Thanks! Rubee photographs a lot darker than he looks (with my camera, at least). His head always looks near black, but it's really a lovely blue when seen with the eye. He's gone through some interesting color changes. He got the name Rubee because I was so hoping that he would turn out to be a she, and stay that pretty copper-penny buff.
Anyways - I really love the Buff color, and am planning on ordering some more from Sandhill in the next few years. If I tried to get any more right now, I'm pretty sure I'd end up being kicked out and sleeping outside with them!
But I would LOVE to have a Buff female. I'm getting ducklings from Holderreads this year, so maybe more from Sandhill in 2011 or 2012. Glenn and Linda were great - they didn't have the number of ducklings in each breed that I ordered, so they ended up sending me extra Dark Campbells for free, who have all turned out GORGEOUS - and, when my little White Hookbill (which was the whole reason I ordered from them in the first place - I want a White Hookbill SO BAD) died from the stress of shipping just four hours after I got them home from the PO, I let them know and they sent me a credit towards my next order. They are such nice people, I definitely recommend them!
They have some colors too that are hard to find anywhere else. You might check out Holderread's for another White Hookbill. I think they had some adults for sale or if you request one with your order, I'm sure they would do their best to include some.
