Runner duck and Mallard duckling?

My female runner duck hatched two ducklings last Saturday. One died yesterday, can I buy a week old Mallard duckling to replace it? Will she accept it? Thanks.

She probably wont accept it since she already knows what ducklings are hers and she would probably kill it thinking it is a danger to her duckling.

Youre right...she and the other bsby attacked. This baby wanted to be with them so bad and it breaks my heart that I had to take him out...im planning on buying another for him to have a buddy. Thanks guys.
