*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

When they were ducklings, we could tell them apart by their beaks and the gold color around their eyes. My husband says he can tell them apart now, something about the feathers on their necks. I don't see it. We put red bands on them today. If they have offspring, they will get white bands so we can at least tell them apart from their mothers.

I agree. I like to be able to tell them all apart. I wish I could tell which mallard lady was Nachos and which one was Lloyd, lol,
I have only one mallard hen, but I have two drakes. They are very easy to tell apart for now, because one drakes bill simply won't turn yellow, it has remained a olive green for a long time now. Also I can tell they fly differently.

I hatch rainbow runner trouts
They are all different shades and colors
I try to keep one of every color when they hatch
But that ends up to be too many
Totally fun and I can always tell them apart
I place one trout drake into a run with 5 different colored girls and what hatches is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you get

This year I will be throwing a penciled runner into the mix
It should be fun

I will also be hatching blue trouts and gold trouts just to keep the house some what sane

Wow that is awesome! Do you know what happens when you cross a fawn and white runner with a chocolate?

This is th first time I am crossing pied to trout since I have not had those colors for a while
However last spring Holderread's sent me a pair of dark brown and whites
I assume that would be the outcome to at least a fraction of the hatchlings[QUOTE="NathanZee, post: 16519406, member: 0"]Wow that is awesome! Do you know what happens when you cross a fawn and white runner with a chocolate?
