Hey guys, quick question, my grandma uses this stuff in her horse stalls to keep flies down.
Is it safe for ducks?

I have those too but mine say not to use them inside because boy can they smell before dumping in 30 days. It's the kind that has the packet and you fill up the container with water suppose to be natural put phew whee . I don't have a problem with flies inside my coops because I clean out poop every day. I actually use the shur tread lime mostly in winter to help with moisture in the bedding.@Miss Lydia - Thanks! Tomorrow I will probably sprinkle some out there then. I bought a fly trap today though.
Speaking of fly tape I hung one inside my chicken coop years ago and came in one evening to count heads and make sure everyone was accounted for and there was one of my lil bantams hanging off the fly tape how she flew up there that high is beyond me unless someone was picking on her but I had to peel her off never used them again lol that stuff is very sticky.@Miss Lydia - The one I got is basically a sticky tube. I was looking for fly tape or even those bags but that was all the store had. Probably not worth it but I thought I'd try it anyway. I clean their house everyday too but still have quite a bit of flies.
I have been using these@Miss Lydia - Oh wow how scary! I will have to look for those bags or maybe even make my own traps.
That's a good point. Lol I'm gonna go tell Awesome he's attracting flies and needs to think about where he poops! XD
Gus stands like that all the time unless eating and swimming. My pekins stand like that when they are grooming but that's it so I know he is a runnerJust a note...a single picture can catch any duck upright for a moment. Gus is a runner if he spends most of his time upright unless foraging. Another breed might be upright for a moment but will spend most of their time horizontal even when not foraging. For example, my TSC ducklings (first two pictures below) are very upright in the pictures, but they do stay horizontal 95% of the time and are NOT runner ducks. On the other hand, the ducks in the last pictures are purebred runners who are not standing tall because they are foraging in the grass. .[COLOR=B42000]
