Hi there! I'm a brand new duck momma to two Indian Runner boys! I'm still trying to figure this place out but as soon as I can post some pictures of Cheese and Quackers, I will! They are 2.5 weeks old and became instant momma boys when I got them :) I was so worried they wouldn't imprint, but they did - right away! I've wanted ducks for as long as I can remember (their names go back about twenty years worth of waiting :)) and I am so thrilled!

Quackers is more photogenic - Cheese is hiding behind him but I love their shape! 2.5 weeks

Well, hopefully this post works! :)

Hopefully I'll get to join this club in a couple weeks. I'm expecting some runners from a nearby hatchery at the end of this month. I'd love to find some from a local backyard breeder, though! Anyone know anyone with runners near East TN or N Georgia?
I live in the N Ga mountains.....Dawsonville. I have some in the bator now. I am new to Runner ducks. Our DH surprised us with Runner Duck eggs for Easter! Yea, we looked for local sources and couldn't find anybody. These eggs came from NY. Let me know if you find any local breeders.

how I do it. Or I should say how the girls do it

Hey Stonykill. I get home from FL on Tuesday and will candle the eggs I got from you. It will be day 10 then. Can't wait! Are these photos of the parents of my eggs?!?!? Am getting excited about these cute little fellows. Will let you know how it goes. (Becky from GA)

yes these are the parents! Good luck with your hatch! I always worry about what the PO is going to do to eggs. Best of luck. My Runners are simply SO much fun and entertainment. Besides laying delicious eggs!

I cannot wait for mine to hatch! Only a few days now eek! Hope they make it! All these photos are making me itch to see them! Part of me still can't quite believe there's something growing in there and that I've helped get this far!

I've never showed my one runner duck in this thread before. I will be adding more to my flock soon(3 blue runners on order).

This is Beaker, my grey runner drake, with part of my flock. His best buddy is Bunsen, the mallard drake next to him.
