*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

Sure do look forward to seeing your littles when you get them.  :)

As for drakes my hatch had 4 I rehomed 3 and kept 1 and oh my gosh dh and I both love Snoop duck  and the neatest thing of all my Muscovy drakes doesn't mind him, actually I don't think my Muscovy drakes knows they are ducks. lol

I will be sure to post pictures! I hope they all arrive safe and sound. This is my first time ordering ducklings like this.
I have always bought from the feed store or locally

One of my girls has started laying! Hurray! :D I was hoping they start before the beginning of winter, but wound up not quite making it there. And I'm not sure who is actually laying, but it's only one of them, I think, as I've found only one egg in each of the last two days.

I'm hoping to have an incubator by the beginning of spring to start hatching a few, but until then, yummy breakfast!

They are so pretty Mine lay blue eggs too.

Why not let one of your girls hatch? So much less stress on you.

Welcome @tactilecontact

None of them seem particularly inclined yet to brood. Would this possibly change as we move closer to spring? If one of them decides to sit on them, I'll give that a try, too. But right now, they're just eager to make a run for the outdoors the second I open their door in the mornings. :)

Def wait till spring when ducklings have a much better chance of survival. You may get a broody you may not. Some of my Runners seems pretty interested in their eggs but it's usually end of April before I even consider letting any one brood.

Oh absolutely! Especially being in Michigan, I'm surprised this morning's egg wasn't frozen when I collected it. She hadn't even bothered laying it inside their house, it was just plopped on the floor of their run, which is only insulated from the cold by hay bales.

Those girls do funny things. Keep us updated on what is going on and when you see your first broody.

Hi, I need to thin my duck flock of Indian Runners and Buff Orps. I actually want more pekin ducks, so if anyone is interested in trading for pekins i am ok w/that.
