Runner Ducks Good for Gardens?

I’ve had many ducks before, but never runner ducks, has anyone with gardens had success (as I’ve read) with runners and gardens? Do they gobble up your greens or do they prefer the insects and slugs?

In my experiences they will do both. They love lettuce and certain plants. However they won’t eat everything. Probably more than you’d like them to though

Runners are better than other ducks when it comes to garden pest control although you will still have to fence off tender plants such as lettuce/kale,they may also eat your tomatoes/cucumber/zucchini and after you water your plants they will drill mud holes just about everywhere, they will help with bug control, but for me, the cons of gardening with ducks outweigh the pros.
