Unfortunately, I did let him euthanize. Her X-ray showed fluid in her abdomen and he felt like there was a reproductive issue. She was skin and bones. He was doing a necropsy this afternoon and is supposed to call with results. He raises chickens as well and I trusted his judgement. Good luck with your girl and keep us posted.
WOW, you are soooooo lucky to have a vet that knows chickens. thats a rarity anymore.

If she eats, that is good. Mine completely quit eating...even the egg I made her. My vet called with our necropsy results yesterday and of course I didn’t have my phone with me AND of course the office was closed when I called back 2 minutes later. So patiently waiting for the results.
