*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Blackpaw's heart twisted. Someone would have to die. If Robinstar didn't he would. Suddenly, he felt himself running towards Lilyflight and burying his face in her fur. Tears dribbled down his whiskers.
To say she was surprised wouldn't come close. But she didn't ask questions. Lilyflight just wrapped her tail around Blackpaw and held him close, licking his ears soothingly.

Sunpaw yelped, and ran out of the den, trying to find a cat that she could stick close to without being suspicious.

Lilyflight sighed, hoping she'd go to Whiteshine or Bramblefall or something. Lilyflight continued to lick Blackpaw all over comfortingly. "It's okay," she said in a soft voice.

Sunpaw spotted Whiteshine and ran over to her. "Can we go training? Please?" Whiteshine looked taken aback, but mewed "Sure, let's go." She led the way out of the clearing and into the forest. They went to the training hollow where Whiteshine demonstrated a move. She pointed out a leaf that was going to be her opponent, and she darted at it, struck at it with her forepaws and leaped back, then ran straight at it, and 'knocked it over'. "You try." she mewed. Sunpaw started calming down and went with the routine of training. She darted towards Whiteshine, struck her with her forepaws, Whiteshine acted like she was going to hit her back, but Sunpaw leaped back, then ran straight at her and knocked her over, pinning her down. "Like that?" "That was good!" Whiteshine praised, "Just next time, use the full force of your weight to knock me down. Okay?" Sunpaw nodded and did the move again, getting it perfectly.

Sunpaw and Whiteshine trained for most of the afternoon and she mastered many new moves. Whiteshine was exhausted now and so she said "I think that's enough for today, you've worked really hard. I'm proud of you." Sunpaw beamed, but then realized that they would be going back to camp, and she would most likely be alone. Well, if he tries anything, I've got a few new moves to protect myself. she thought, reassuring herself. Whiteshine led the way back to camp and went to the fresh-kill pile, famished from her hard-work. She picked a fat sparrow and settled down to eat and Sunpaw chose a fat mouse and ate beside her mentor.

Blackpaw pressed closer into the soothing soft fur of Lilyflight. He had never embraced a cat like this since his mother died.
