*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Owlkit sat in the nursery and lay there, immobile. Every part of her body was aching especially her leg that was burning with pain Feathersky was re-dressing her wounds inside the nursery.
Lilyflight sat beside her daughter, gently licking her, especially her leg.

Feathersky looked up to face Lilyflight. A look of sorrow and guilt spread across her face. "This is much worse than I thought," she said solemnly.
She looked up, feeling terrified for her kit. "How much worse?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

"I don't think she will be able to become a warrior and will always walk with a limp. I did all I could do but the bone has broken in several places and was jutting out of her leg,"

Lilyflight couldn't find anything to say. "It's alright," she said quietly, bowing her head. "I know there's nothing you could've done. If anything, it's my fault for not looking after her properly."

Feathersky looked down at her paws. "Don't beat yourself up. Your a brilliant mother,"

"I don't feel like I am right now," she admitted. "One kit dead, another who will never be a warrior, and two I let make a huge mess of your den." Each word was dragged out of her with a great air of sadness and pain.

"Big mess in my-" she started but cut her self off. Feathersky sat up and started for her den after she said: "Please try to keep Owlkit off her paws for at least three days," she said dipping her head and padding off to her den. When she entered her den she saw herbs scattered everywhere. "Great Starclan!" she muttered.

Feathersky suddenly had an idea as she took a mouthful of mint in her jaws. "What if Owlkit could become my apprentice?" she thought out loud. "I could always need an extra paw around here!"
