“Thank you,” she responded as he left.
Skykit came running over to her, having finished his game of moss-ball. "Mom, there's something I wanna tell you-" He glanced around "-Privately."
“Okay,” she said carefully. “Where do you want to go?”
"In the den, I guess." He shrugged, not sure where else they could go. "It's about Flykit." He mewed quietly
“Alright.” Slowly, she got to her paws and went inside the den.
He followed her and settled into the nest. He stayed silent for a few moments, trying to figure out how to tell her. "So... Uhm... Snowfrost was going to tell you, but Featherkit and Flykit both agreed it'd be best for all of them if I did it instead. To take the stress off of her, I mean. Uh... Flykit can't hear anything..."
“She’s deaf?” she murmured sadly, though not really surprised. She had known something was different about Flykit.
He nodded somberly. "She is. But, she is super smart, she reads lips, and she will do literally anything to prove herself and become a warrior." He quickly added, defending her
Lilyflight was silent for a long moment. “Of course, I’m not against giving her a chance to see if she’d make a competent warrior. I’m the end, though, it’s for Bramblestar to decide.”
