Runny poop

I have one barred rock pullet that always has dried runny poop on her butt. THe rest of the hens are 'clean'...just fluffy feathers. I have watched this hen for a month or so, she acts ok, eats, eyes are clear, and the poop doesnt look like it has anything in it out of the ordinary. Is this a problem, or is this just the way that hen is? None of the others have it and i have seen this one poop 'solid'.

Is the runny poop on her every night indicative of a problem?

im awaiting the answers to this also. i have noticed many times a liquid splash on the ground where somehen has pooped. yellow like watery gunk. and ive had black tarry stuff never any signs of illness
i do know that watermelon causes the black stuff a t least one time.. i had alots of watermelon left over and the chicken yard was full of black poop. in fact i decided not to give it to them again. and i hate that...
id sure hate to give up watermelon becuase it made me poop black.

My BR has this, too. Is it a breed thing? she's always had it. We treated her for cocci (she also had blood in her poop for a while) and that's all cleared up now.

But you can see the 8" green/yellow squirts wherever she's been in the yard. Hard not to miss them.

My chicks have been on medicated food since they started. They had runny poop, and I treated for cocci while not eating medicated (because I read that it would cancel it out). Then, tried it again with medicated. It's never gone away. They've always been inside, with brand new brooders. Have never been on the ground (very hot in GA, and when I try to gradually get them used to the heat, they pant alot) Pen is being built, as well. Anyway- my Silkies that are going on 3 months old poop yellow runny, and my Polish and Phoenix (2 each) in another brooder poop reddish runny.
They all seem healthy, except that. I can tell that some poops are "normal", but not many. -Pam
