Yeah true! But something that fits SOP close-ish will lay better and if they’re friendlier they will stress less oftenShe'll be in a mixed flock anyways, so it's not like I need a perfect example of the breed
It's a shame to break them up. I'll bet they're best friends. Tell your friend that it's in their best interest to stay with you.I've got to start deciding which orloff I want to keep and which to give to my friend
I'd love to have some mauve. In fact, I've considered getting chocolate orpingtons, just so I can make mauve muts.Ahh you too! I have so many blue chickens and self-blues...haha. Well if you like unique colors, she has blue/black/splash Langshans and a ton of blue, self-blue, lavender mottled, chocolate, mauve, mauve splash, and others...in Orpingtons and Marans! And the Marans are starting to lay purple bloom eggs! It's heaven for someone like me who just LOVES diluted colorings and unique chickens!
I only have the space set aside for one and she has 2 other friends from a different breed shes grown up with. It's a shame to break them up. I'll bet they're best friends. Tell your friend that it's in their best interest to stay with you.
