Russian Orloffs are on their way! Yay!

I have only one of the Russian Orloff's that I think might be male, but I think it is just kind of runty so it may still end up being a female. As for all the Cochin packing peanuts I think out of 20 I only have one or two that I think might be female and that is probably just wishful thinking. My wife is perfectly fine with putting any of the males on the table, she just wants them gone as soon as they crow. She has slipped a few times and said that she might be willing to keep at least one rooster. She is starting to warm up to the little guys finally. I guess at this point we will just have to wait and see what happens.

BBK as for your babies the chipmunk baby looks exactly like the all of my Orloff babies did when I got them. Do you know what they were supposed to be? If they were supposed to be orloffs it may just be a different color variation. Mine are all spangled.

yes both were supposed to be spangled...but i didn't realize that made a difference... so, your saying the chipmunky one isn't spangled?

Sorry I reread my post it was a little confusing. Mine are spangled and they looked exactly like your chipmunky looking one. I am by no means a expert on identification, but i guess you wont really be able to tell until they start to grow up and feather out.
