EggQueen although a bit difficult to make out from the pic seems like a pullet to me. Sorry to hear about the chick Cknldy, glad you're getting some good weather. Was nice here today as well but have a blizzard moving through tomorrow into Thursday. Eggs are due to hatch Saturday. Got to take a few pics of the 5 week old chicks today

the blizzard uggg... I had just told desertmarcy our weather was looking up too... hopefully this passes quickly.. its forecast here for blizzard wed -thurs and then 45 degrees Fri for petes sake. Welcoming spring!

My new Orloff babies arrived early! I drove in the storm to get them from the dispatch center instead of waiting till tomorrow! All ten are alive and going peep peep peep chirp over the the food and water!

How do you make arrangements to do that? I think I would like to drive and get mine as well from the dispatch center. Its only a hour away but it will take a extra day for the babies if I don't.
How did you arrange that? Oh and we need pics of the babies

I didn't plan it that way at all. They were a hold for delivery with calling info on the box. Maybe with this storm they just thought they'd save me and the birds? Idk. I guess you might try mailing them to the center [if you know its address] care of you and then have them hold for pick up with calling instructions. I know one woman I sent ducks to did it this way.

thanks I'll give the center a call and see what I can arrange with them. Saving them a day travel is very appealing.

Here's a pic of the pippers. There's one with duck, one with slight duck on one foot and the rest are good. They are lighter than I would like, honestly, and some have beards that aren't quite where I would hope either. I like poofers that remind me of chipmunks, you know?
