Where did you get your 'starter birds'?
Some folks are telling me to check out the hatcheries and others are saying that all I'd get would be 'bearded speckled sussex'.
canesisters I suggest you get them from breeders, they put more time & dedication into their stock than hatcheries. Only variety you will find in large numbers are the Spangled Orloff. As I mentioned, only very few breeders that I know of have Mahogany (3 perhaps 4 breeders). Feel free to join our Society as there are many Orloff owners there with experience ranging from novice to very knowledgable having bred Orloff for numerous years. There is also an open forum you may want to have a look at.
FlowerPower4 not many breeders doing eggs this time of year. They usually start early in the year. I suggest if you're getting eggs or chicks to go with breeder birds instead of hatchery ones.
