If you look at the center chick in the photo with its back to you that is a RO chick next to some EE chicks so you can see the difference for your self .. Also the one to the left at the top of the photo with the three together facing you is also a RO chick ...... But look at the head the comb will be a flat red piece of skin and even the EE chick will have something very small but standing up ......


I would have to say you called that one right you got EE chicks there ..

And the breeder my birds are from said they have gotten a couple like him. I'm guessing it's some sort of speckling gone wild LOL Where he has colored feathers, they do still have the mahogany and black on them, there just aren't that many showing through the white.

I am noticing some differences however, between the Easter egger and the supposed Russian orloffs. The Easter egger is darker and its wing feathers are different.

Plus, I forgot that ee's have dark legs, and the ros don't so I'm thinking that they are Russian orloffs, just not great quality.

It will be fun to see how they feather out. Some people have gotten decent Orloffs from a hatchery so don't give up on them yet!
 
Have been talking to other people that have also gotten birds that look like this one, and so far everyone has only seen this color in males. Has anyone gotten a bird like this and had it be a female? Wondering if it's some sort of sex linked thing.
