I got the idea from my friend in the UK just modified it a bit to suit my need. For these chicks I did a small version of a coop to accommodate them while they grow out enough to put with rest of flock.
That's a cute little coop! I just opened a small hole in the wire door separating the grow out box from the main coop yesterday. A few of the Easter batch have ventured out to the main coop and run, but can always run back and hide if they need to.
I've got branches in the run they can dive under if they get chased.

I was mistaken in an earlier post, Julian was a Jan 15th hatch so will be 4 months this Sunday, not 4 & a half as I had posted prior. I normally keep the feeder at 16 inches, just have it raised here to show how tall he stands.I will try to post a link for a video of my flock.
